College on your mind?Come to UCSB's Open House for prospective and admitted students and their familiesThe College of Engineering invites you to learn more about the Engineering and Computer Science programs offered at UC Santa Barbara.Spring Insight is a fun way to get to know the UC Santa Barbara campus. Presentations will focus on topics of interest to students considering UC Santa Barbara. Students will be able to meet with staff, faculty and current students, explore the many resources available, and take tours of the campus. The event is free and reservations are not required A detailed program of all Spring Insight activities will be available one week before the open house: www.admissions.ucsb.edu/openhouse.asp
College of Engineering Presentations & Activities: Admitted Student Presentation10 a.m., Corwin PavilionPresentation for students admitted to Engineering and Computer Science Majors at UCSB for Fall 2009 & their parents – Learn about the programs and opportunities in the College of Engineering and hear from current engineering students about their experiences at UCSB.
Prospective Student Presentation10 a.m., MCC TheaterPresentation for prospective engineering applicants & their parents (those who have not yet applied to College) – Hear about the programs and opportunities in the College of Engineering and learn how to strengthen your future application into engineering and computer science majors at UCSB. Department Presentations & Tours11 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.
Each of our majors will have sessions where you can meet departmental faculty, advising staff, and current students. Find out more about our programs and get all your questions answered.
College of Engineering Open House 1 – 3 p.m., Engineering Science Building (ESB) courtyardEveryone is invited to learn more about the College of Engineering in a casual open house environment. Meet with current students showcasing their coursework, research projects, education abroad experiences and creative endeavors. Talk with current students in professional organizations and campus clubs, participants in the Technology Management Program and meet with academic advisors. Snacks will be provided.
